01. Our Returns Commitment
At FrostByte PCs, we aim to provide reliable gaming computers, quality components and professional assembly.
This policy explains how we handle refunds, returns, repairs, replacements, cancellations and delivery-related issues.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
02. Faulty or Defective Products
If your gaming PC or a component supplied by FrostByte PCs is faulty, damaged or does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, contact us.
Depending on the circumstances and your rights under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to:
- A repair.
- A replacement.
- A refund.
- Compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
We will assess the issue and explain the available remedies.
03. Major Failures
If a product has a major failure under Australian Consumer Law, you generally have the right to choose a refund or replacement.
Examples of circumstances that may amount to a major failure include:
- A product that is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot be remedied easily within a reasonable time.
- A product that is significantly different from its description.
- A product that is unsafe.
- A product with a serious problem that would have stopped a reasonable consumer from purchasing it had they known.
Whether a failure is major depends on the specific circumstances. Applicable legal exceptions may affect the available remedy.
04. Minor Failures
For a failure that is not major, FrostByte PCs may choose to repair, replace or refund the product as permitted by Australian Consumer Law.
Any repair must be completed within a reasonable time.
If we cannot remedy the problem within a reasonable time, you may become entitled to additional remedies.
05. Custom-Built Gaming PCs
FrostByte PCs offers custom-built gaming computers assembled according to customer-selected specifications.
We do not generally accept voluntary change-of-mind returns for custom-built PCs once assembly has commenced.
We may consider voluntary requests individually, depending on the circumstances and order status.
Custom-built products remain covered by applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
If a custom-built PC has a fault or does not meet applicable consumer guarantees, customers retain their legal rights to appropriate remedies.
06. Change-of-Mind Returns
FrostByte PCs does not generally offer refunds or exchanges solely because a customer changes their mind, chooses the wrong specifications or no longer wants a product.
A change of mind may also include finding a cheaper alternative after purchasing.
Customers should carefully review their selected components, specifications and order details before completing payment.
This policy does not affect any applicable rights under Australian Consumer Law.
07. DIY Parts and Build-Only Services
Customers purchasing DIY components from FrostByte PCs retain applicable consumer guarantee rights for the goods supplied.
For build-only services using customer-supplied components, FrostByte PCs is responsible for meeting applicable consumer guarantees relating to the assembly services we provide.
Issues caused solely by a defective customer-supplied component may need to be addressed with the component's original seller.
This does not remove any applicable rights relating to our workmanship.
08. Orders, Changes and Cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an order, contact FrostByte PCs as soon as possible.
Before assembly begins: For voluntary cancellation requests received before assembly begins, FrostByte PCs offers a full refund, except for any lawful special-order costs that were clearly disclosed and agreed to before purchase.
After assembly begins: Voluntary cancellation requests will be assessed individually, taking into account work completed, components ordered and any applicable agreed terms.
After dispatch: Customers should contact us to discuss the available options.
Any cancellation charges or deductions must be lawful, reasonable and consistent with the terms agreed at purchase.
Nothing in this section limits cancellation, refund or other remedies required by law.
09. Damaged Deliveries
If your PC arrives damaged, please contact FrostByte PCs as soon as reasonably possible.
We recommend providing photos of the packaging, computer and any visible damage.
Please retain the original packaging where practical until we have discussed the issue with you.
FrostByte PCs will investigate delivery-related damage and arrange an appropriate remedy where required by Australian Consumer Law.
Customers do not lose their statutory consumer rights simply because damage was not reported within a particular number of days.
10. Return Shipping and Transport
FrostByte PCs accepts enquiries from customers throughout Australia.
Please contact us before returning a gaming PC or component so we can discuss the issue and suitable shipping arrangements.
Melbourne customers may be able to arrange a local return or inspection by appointment.
Interstate customers may receive remote troubleshooting assistance or suitable freight arrangements.
Where Australian Consumer Law requires us to cover reasonable return, collection or transport expenses, we will do so.
For voluntary returns not required by law, any agreed transport costs will be explained in advance.
Please retain tracking details and package items securely when shipping is arranged.
11. Refund Processing
Once a refund has been approved, FrostByte PCs will arrange the refund through an appropriate payment method, generally the original payment method where possible.
The time taken for funds to appear may depend on the payment provider and the customer's financial institution.
We will not impose unlawful deductions or fees on refunds required under Australian Consumer Law.
We will not substitute store credit for a monetary refund where a customer is legally entitled to that refund.
12. FrostByte Plus Membership
Australian Consumer Law rights apply to eligible purchases regardless of FrostByte Plus membership status.
FrostByte Plus membership does not replace or restrict statutory consumer guarantees.
Any additional membership benefits are governed by the applicable FrostByte Plus Membership Terms.
13. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a product has a major failure, you generally have the right to choose a refund or replacement, subject to applicable legal requirements.
If a product has a minor failure, the business must provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.
For services, the available remedies depend on the nature of the failure and may include rectification, cancellation, a refund or compensation.
You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
These rights apply regardless of whether a product is prebuilt or custom-built, where consumer guarantees apply.
