01. About FrostByte PCs
FrostByte PCs is a Melbourne-based business offering gaming computers, PC components, custom builds and assembly services.
These Terms & Conditions explain important conditions relating to website use, purchases, quotations, payments and services.
By placing an order with FrostByte PCs, you agree to the applicable terms presented before your purchase, subject to your statutory rights.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
02. Website Information
We aim to keep product descriptions, specifications, images and pricing accurate and up to date.
Product images may be illustrative. The components and specifications agreed for an order determine what will be supplied.
Minor visual differences may occur between product images and the finished computer, provided the supplied product matches the agreed description and applicable consumer guarantees.
We may correct genuine website errors, subject to applicable consumer law and any existing contractual rights.
If an error materially affects a submitted order, we will contact the customer to discuss appropriate options rather than silently changing the order.
03. Products and Availability
Product availability may change due to supplier stock, component availability and demand.
Some computers are assembled after an order is placed rather than held as completed ready-to-ship stock.
If an agreed component becomes unavailable, we will contact the customer to discuss suitable alternatives or other remedies.
We will not substitute a materially different component without appropriate customer agreement.
If we cannot fulfil an order as agreed and no suitable alternative is accepted, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law, including a refund where appropriate.
04. Orders and Confirmation
Customers should review their order details, selected products, membership or assembly selections and delivery information before checkout.
After an order is submitted, FrostByte PCs may send an acknowledgement or confirmation to the email provided.
An automated acknowledgement does not necessarily mean every requested custom specification is available.
We may contact the customer if an order requires clarification, component confirmation or additional information.
Any changes to an agreed order, including material changes to specifications or pricing, will be discussed with the customer.
Customers can contact us to request an order update or correction.
05. Prices and Payments
Website prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).
Applicable taxes and charges will be disclosed in accordance with Australian law.
Online payments are processed using Stripe.
Customers will be shown the applicable order total, including selected assembly charges and delivery charges, before confirming payment.
For supported Australian postcodes, delivery charges are calculated automatically during checkout.
Shipping: Delivery charges are based on the configured shipping rates for the customer's destination and order.
Some locations may require separate delivery arrangements. Any additional agreed charges will be disclosed before the customer accepts them.
We will not automatically impose additional charges after payment without the customer's agreement.
If a paid order cannot be fulfilled at the agreed price, we will discuss lawful options, including a refund or another arrangement the customer voluntarily accepts.
06. FrostByte Plus and Assembly
FrostByte PCs offers purchasing options that may include DIY parts-only orders, assembled PC orders and FrostByte Plus.
Under the pricing structure described in these terms:
- DIY orders: Include the agreed components without FrostByte assembly.
- Standard assembled orders: Include an assembly charge of $99 per PC.
- FrostByte Plus: Includes assembly for a $79 per-order charge.
The price and benefits displayed for the selected option at checkout must be reviewed before payment.
FrostByte Plus is currently described as an order-based pricing option, rather than an automatically renewing subscription.
No recurring membership charge will apply unless a separate recurring arrangement is clearly disclosed and expressly agreed to.
FrostByte Plus does not replace, restrict or remove consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Any future membership benefits, recurring charges or changed conditions must be clearly disclosed before purchase.
07. Custom Builds and Quotes
Customers can request personalised gaming PC configurations through our Build Your Own PC service.
Submitting a custom-build enquiry does not automatically create a paid order.
We will review the requested specifications, compatibility, component availability and estimated pricing.
The final specifications, assembly requirements, expected timeframe and total price must be agreed before the customer is required to purchase.
Changes requested after an order is confirmed may affect availability, pricing and build time.
Any additional charges for agreed changes will be disclosed before proceeding with those changes.
08. Build-Only Services
Customers may request assembly services using components they supply.
We may inspect the parts for apparent compatibility or suitability before accepting the service.
Any identified compatibility concerns or additional required components will be discussed with the customer.
Customers should disclose known faults, damage or compatibility concerns affecting supplied components.
FrostByte PCs does not provide a separate manufacturer warranty on parts supplied by the customer.
However, our assembly work remains subject to our applicable workmanship warranty and Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
Please review our Warranty Policy for further details.
09. Shipping and Local Pickup
FrostByte PCs offers Australia-wide shipping for eligible orders and Melbourne local pickup by arrangement.
For supported postcodes, shipping charges are calculated automatically during checkout.
Some regional or remote addresses may require separate delivery arrangements.
Customers must be informed of and agree to applicable delivery costs before being required to pay.
Local pickup is available by confirmed appointment. Pickup details will be provided privately.
Processing, assembly and delivery timeframes may vary according to the order and destination.
Nothing in these terms limits customer rights relating to late, missing or damaged goods.
For more information, read our Shipping & Local Pickup Policy .
10. Refunds, Returns and Cancellations
Refunds, returns and cancellations are handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law and our published policies.
We do not generally offer change-of-mind returns after an order has been fulfilled, unless otherwise agreed.
However, customers may request cancellation before assembly begins.
Orders cancelled before assembly begins are eligible for a full refund, except for any lawful special-order costs that were clearly disclosed and agreed to before purchase.
Cancellation requests received after assembly begins will be considered case by case, subject to the agreed terms and applicable law.
A custom-built or specially ordered product is not automatically excluded from consumer guarantee protections.
Customers retain their statutory rights when products or services fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.
Please review our Refunds & Returns Policy for further information.
11. Warranty and Support
FrostByte PCs provides a voluntary 12-month workmanship warranty for eligible computers assembled by FrostByte PCs.
This warranty covers eligible defects caused by our assembly work during the stated warranty period.
Component manufacturer warranties may also apply.
These warranties are additional to customers' rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Statutory consumer guarantees may continue beyond a voluntary or manufacturer warranty period.
Please review our Warranty Policy .
12. Customer Responsibilities
Customers should provide accurate contact, delivery and order information.
Customers should review the specifications, selected purchasing option and final order total before payment.
Customers should also follow reasonable product safety and operating instructions.
Customers should contact FrostByte PCs if they discover a problem requiring support.
These responsibilities do not remove statutory consumer rights.
13. Privacy
We collect and use customer information to process orders, provide quotes, arrange delivery, manage order tracking and offer support.
Online payments are facilitated through Stripe, and other service providers may assist with transactional emails and order fulfilment.
For further details, read our Privacy Policy .

15. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law where applicable.
These may include guarantees relating to acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, correspondence with description and due care and skill in providing services.
Customers may be entitled to repairs, replacements, refunds or compensation, depending on the circumstances.
For a major failure with goods, customers may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
For a failure that is not major, the supplier may be entitled to provide a remedy within a reasonable time.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or limits statutory consumer rights.

16. Changes to These Terms
FrostByte PCs may update these Terms & Conditions when our services, website features, pricing arrangements or legal requirements change.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights under existing contracts or applicable law.
The terms applicable to an existing purchase will be determined by the terms agreed at the relevant time, subject to applicable law.
The latest version will be available on this page with an updated revision date.
